OREANDA-NEWS. November 27, 2009. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Ryabkov received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Moscow, Mahmoud Reza Sajadi, at his request.

An exchange of views took place on the developments in the situation around the Iranian nuclear program (INP) in the context of the meeting of the six powers’ political directors on INP held in Brussels on November 20 and the session of the IAEA Board of Governors that has opened.

The need to observe the principled accords reached in the talks on this theme in Geneva on October 1 between the representatives of Iran and the six powers was especially stressed by the Russian side, as this would help to significantly move forward the process of restoring the confidence of the international community in the exclusively peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear program. A mutual disposition was reiterated to continue Russian-Iranian contacts on INP issues.
