OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2009. The President issued instructions to the Russian Federation Government and specifically to the Healthcare and Social Development and the Emergency Situations Ministries.

The instructions concern ensuring comprehensive safety of social services facilities in which children, disabled people and the elderly are resident, carrying out urgent repair and maintenance work of such facilities’ buildings and premises, and increasing liability for violating fire safety regulations.

The instructions recommend that regional and municipal heads place all of these issues under their personal supervision.

Specific deadlines have been set for the instructions’ implementation.
