OREANDA-NEWS. November 09, 2009. After the official welcome, President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva had a meeting with the President of the Republic of Slovenia Danilo Turk and his spouse Barbara Miklic Turk.

The successful development of the bilateral relations in various fields were praised during the meeting. It was emphasized that there is a good potential for the expansion of bilateral cooperation in economic sphere.

Stressing the importance of high-level reciprocal visits, the President expressed confidence that the President of the Republic of Slovenia Danilo Turk’s official visit to Azerbaijan would contribute to the development of bilateral relations.

Exchange of ideas on bilateral, regional, and international issues took place during the meeting.
