OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2009. Dmitry Medvedev congratulated President of the Czech Republic Vaclav Klaus on the country's national holiday - Independence Day.

The congratulatory message reads, in part:

“I am confident that the cooperation between Russia and the Czech Republic, based on long-standing traditions of cultural and historic affinity, amicable partnership and mutual understanding will continue to develop, benefiting both our nations and promoting the reinforcement of security and stability throughout all of Europe.

I have fond memories of our meeting in Moscow on October 14 of this year and hope the talks we had will help progressively strengthen the Russian-Czech dialogue, as well as our business and humanitarian ties.”
