The Prime Ministers noted with satisfaction that despite the current economic crisis, Russian-Vietnamese trade has grown by 5.7% in 2009.

Mr Putin and Mr Nguyen Tan Dung exchanged opinions on possible expansion of interaction in such areas as energy, industry and military-technical cooperation.

Mr Putin invited his Vietnamese counterpart to visit Russia with an official visit, the timeframe of which will be coordinated through diplomatic channels.
