OREANDA-NEWS. October 20, 2009. President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by the Chief of Iranian Presidential Office Esfandiar Rahim Mashaie.

President stressed the importance of the visit of Chief of Iranian Presidential Office Esfandiar Rahim Mashaie to Azerbaijan for conducting exchange of views on the current state and prospects of relations between the two countries. Pointing out to the implementation of successful cooperation in various fields between Azerbaijan and Iran, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his confidence that the current visit and the meetings conducted during the visit would contribute to the strengthening of relations.

Esfandiar Rahim Mashaie conveyed Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s greetings to the President and the people of Azerbaijan, and presented the Iranian President’s letter to President Ilham Aliyev.

Expressing his gratitude for the letter, the President expressed confidence that the important issues mentioned in the letter will strengthen cooperation between the two countries, in the future.

President expressed appreciation of the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad’s regards, and asked Mashaie to deliver his greetings to the Iranian President, as well.
