OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2009. A conversation between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Markos Kyprianou took place on the sidelines of the informal meeting of OSCE foreign ministers on Corfu.

During the meeting the heads of the foreign affairs agencies exchanged views on the current state of Russian-Cyprus relations, affirming the high level of interaction in various areas of bilateral cooperation. The commonality of the positions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Cyprus resounded clearly in favor of achieving a comprehensive, equitable and viable settlement in Cyprus on the basis of relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
