OREANDA-NEWS. June 23, 2009. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the credentials of Paulo Antonio, newly appointed Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Brazil to our country.

During the meeting, President Ilham Aliyev said Brazil`s appointing an ambassador to Azerbaijan is a sign of good bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Azerbaijani leader pointed out there are good opportunities to develop the relations.

Ambassador Paulo Antonio said Azerbaijan and Brazil have big potential to develop their relations in various fields, particularly in the political and economic ones.

The ambassador vowed to spare no efforts to contribute to expanding the Azerbaijan-Brazil relations.
