OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2009. A telephone conversation between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel Avigdor Lieberman took place at the Israeli side’s initiative.

Topical issues in bilateral relations were discussed, along with the current situation in the Near and Middle East. Lavrov briefed his interlocutor on the efforts being undertaken by Russia to provide aid to the PNA and to restart the peace process in the region.
