OREANDA-NEWS. June 04, 2009. President Ilham Aliyev received the delegation headed by Walid al Muallem, Foreign Minister of Syria.

The Head of State described the Syrian delegation`s current visit to Baku and meetings held here “as an indicator of good relations”.

According to the President, opening of Azerbaijan`s embassy in Syria is “one of the important factors in development of our ties”.

The Azerbaijani leader expressed assurance that the current visit would contribute to expanding relationships between the two countries.
