OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2009.  The award ceremony took place on International Children’s Day. The decoration was awarded to eight couples with large families from the Republics of Bashkortostan, Mari El and Chuvashia, Altai and Krasnodar Territories, Orenburg, Volgograd and Omsk Regions.

The Order of Parental Honour was established by President Medvedev on May 13, 2008, and was awarded for the first time on January 13, 2009.
