Prime Minister Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, congratulating her on the 60th anniversary of the Federal Republic of Germany and the West German Constitution.

Vladimir Putin and Angela Merkel also exchanged opinions on a number of bilateral projects for trade and economic cooperation.
