OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2009. Dmitry Medvedev sent greetings to participants and guests of the Second Annual International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HELIRUSSIA 2009.

The greetings reads, in part:

“The aircraft industry is one the most knowledge-intensive, high-tech sectors. And the Russian helicopter industry has a glorious history and great potential, as well as a distinguished tradition of leadership in the aviation market.

This display of the extraordinary achievements in the field is a major incentive for developers, designers and helicopter manufacturers from different countries. Organising such exhibitions facilitates the exchange of the best ideas and technological innovations and extends the possibilities of international cooperation. And the growing number of participants in the Moscow exhibition shows that Russia is a unique and promising venue for the development of trade and economic cooperation in this field.”

HELIRUSSIA 2009 features about 130 Russian and foreign companies from Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE, Ukraine and USA.
