OREANDA-NEWS. May 20, 2009. The current state of and future prospects for Russian-Norwegian partnership, along with specific issues of bilateral cooperation in trade, energy and investment were the subjects of discussion.

As part of the international agenda parties discussed bilateral cooperation in the Arctic region and pan-European stability, including in light of the Russian initiative on the preparation of a new Treaty on European Security.

Dmitry Medvedev congratulated Jens Stoltenberg on Norway's Constitution Day [May 17] and on the recent victory of the Norwegian singer Alexander Rybak in the Eurovision contest in Moscow.
