OREANDA-NEWS. An exchange of views took place on the DPRK’s launch of an artificial Earth satellite in the telephone conversation between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton held on April 5 at the American side’s initiative.

The sides spoke in favor of joint efforts to prevent the situation from being destabilized in Northeast Asia and for preserving the six-country negotiation process on the Korean Peninsula nuclear problem. Agreement was reached to remain in close touch and continue consultation on this theme.
