OREANDA-NEWS. April 3, 2009. President Ilham Aliyev received Russian transport minister Igor Levitin, Kazakh transport and communications minister Abelgazy Kusainov and Turkmen railway transport minister Deryagulu Muhammetguliev, who are participating in the first meeting of transport ministers of Caspian littoral states.

President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of the first meeting of transport ministers of Caspian littoral states, saying there are good opportunities for boosting transport cooperation. He said large-scale transport projects were underway in Azerbaijan.

The Head of State said he believes the Baku meeting would serve to expand cooperation among the Caspian littoral states.
