OREANDA-NEWS. March 31, 2009. At the end of his term as Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert expressed his gratitude to the President of Russia for his constructive cooperation. He also emphasized the important role Russia has played in global and regional politics, including in promoting the peace process in the Middle East.

In turn, Dmitry Medvedev gave a positive assessment of Mr Olmert's contribution to the development of Russian-Israeli relations. Both sides expressed their confidence in the future gradual development of the entire range of their countries' bilateral relations.
