OREANDA-NEWS. March 27, 2009.  At the initiative of the British side, Dmitry Medvedev had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Great Britain Gordon Brown.

Dmitry Medvedev and Gordon Brown continued their discussion of issues related to preparations for the upcoming G20 summit in London on 2 April. In the course of their constructive dialogue, there was an exchange of views on various aspects of this work, including improving the effectiveness of the IMF. In the context of this discussion, the President of Russia reiterated the proposals of the Russian side, which had already been submitted to the leaders of all concerned states and international organisations. Gordon Brown noted that Great Britain and Russia agree on most aspects of the preparations for the G20 summit.

Dmitry Medvedev and Gordon Brown confirmed an agreement to hold bilateral Russian-British talks in London.
