OREANDA-NEWS. February 27, 2009. The head of state congratulated the officers on their appointment to senior command duties.

The President stressed that, despite the difficult economic climate, the financing of state defence purchasing, and social guarantees for soldiers and their families would be maintained at the level required.

The presentation ceremony for officers on their appointment to senior command duties, and conferrment of their senior military (special) titles took place in the Great Kremlin Palace. Senior officers and representatives of the Russian power structures were invited to the ceremony.
