FPLA to Beg Verkhovna Rada to Override Veto of Ukrainian President
OREANDA-NEWS On 27 February was announced, that Farmer and Private Landowner Association (FPLA) will initiate negotiations with all the factions of the Parliament in order to override a veto of the President against an anti-crisis draft bill on support of agrarians. The President of the Association Ivan Tomych stated during a meeting in the House of Government.
Moreover, the President of Farmer and Landowner Association emphasized because of the draft law having been vetoed the villagers are suffering losses of “most precious time”, as spring-field works are to commence.
He also underlined that owing to the actions of Government sowing campaign will be held successfully.
“Everything will be fulfilled in time, taking into account the steps made by the Government. It is a serious support in the process of holding a complex of spring-field works,” Ivan Tomych aired.
“It is rather disappointing in such a hard moment, while relying upon this anti-recessionary law, we have received the President’s veto,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko said.
