OREANDA-NEWS  On 24 February was announced, that President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov said that further improvement of the banking affairs, stimulation of attraction of free funds of population and business entities into deposits of the commercial banks are main priorities of the banking system in 2009.

Uzbek head said the banks and their founders should complete work on increasing capitalization level and raise their charter capitals to set levels.

He said the factors, which hindering growth of deposits, their inflow to the banking system, should be analyzed and adopt additional measures. He said the effective and long-term stimulus in attraction of free resources of population and legal entities in the banking sector and expand opportunities of the banking sector for crediting real sector of economy.

President Islam Karimov said the bank should review their work on expansion of investment activity. He said the banks should strengthen services on expertise and financing of investment projects.
