OREANDA-NEWS. February 17, 2009. The President signed decrees on early termination of office for Governor of the Pskov Region Mikhail Kuznetsov, Governor of the Orel Region Yegor Stroyev and Governor of the Nenets Autonomous District Valery Potapenko, in connection with their statements of resignation.

The President submitted the candidacy of Andrei Turchak to the Pskov Regional Legislative Assembly and the candidacy of Alexander Kozlov to the Orel Regional Council of People's Deputies for the office of Governor, as well as the candidacy of Igor Fedorov to the Legislative Assembly of the Nenets Autonomous District for the office of Head of Regional Administration.

In addition, the President submitted the candidacy of Alexei Gordeyev to the Voronezh Regional Duma for the office of Governor of the Voronezh Region.
