OREANDA-NEWS. February 4, 2009. Mr Medvedev and Mr Rakhmon discussed prospects for work together in the energy sector, and other aspects of economic cooperation.

The two Presidents agreed that Mr Rakhmon would visit Russia at the end of February to discuss current trade and economic and military-technical cooperation matters, and also the two countries’ participation in major infrastructure projects in Central Asia.

Mr Medvedev confirmed his invitation to Mr Rakhmon to make a state visit to Russia in 2009.
