The President of Russia expressed concern regarding a present deceleration of momentum in relations between Russia and the Ukraine, as well as a range of problems that have accumulated in connection with that slowdown, particularly concerning payments for supplies of Russian gas. Dmitry Medvedev expressed the hope that this situation would improve in the upcoming year.
