OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2008. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the major construction sites in Ashgabat and the Ahal Velayat at the request of Vice Premier D. Orazov who supervised construction industry. The President flew round the Turkmen capital, the Ruhabat and Geokdepe Etraps where a number of the priority economic and social projects were implemented.

A magnificent view of Ashgabat and its suburbs painted in golden colours of mild Turkmen autumn from the air view opened up. The President’s helicopter headed for the south of the Turkmen capital where a new administrative and cultural centre was rapidly formed. In the near future the 18-km highway with argcitectural complxes, housing estates, public gardens and parks stretching along it would be built parallel Archabil Shayoly. Inspecting the construction site from the air view Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave instructions on the design of the project.

Then the President’s helicopter headed for the Ruhabat Etrap along the Kopetdag range. From the air view the Turkmen leader inspected the construction site of the hippodrome built by the Etkin Company (Turkey)

Focusing on the importance of this project for preserving and maintaining the age-old national traditions of the Turkmen people, developing the equestrian sport in the country Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demanded that the high quality of construction work and observance of the period of construction.

The President inspected from the air view the construction site of the National Wildlife Museum and then the President’s helicopter headed for Geokdepe. The region is the construction site of many large-scale facilities of paramount importance for creating the comfortable, worthy conditions of life.

Then the President’s helicopter headed for Babaarap village. Inspecting from the air view the construction sites of multimedia school and kindergarten and the administrative building of archinlik and shopping centre the Turkmen leader instructed eth relevant high-ranking officials to accelerate the pace of construction.

The Turkmen leader inspected Abadan – the satellite town of Ashgabat with a number of the large-scale industrial enterprises and the construction sites of social facilities. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave instructions on improvement of this residential area. The Turkmen leader criticized the relevant high-ranking officials for the unsatisfactory sanitary state of Abadan and demanded that the immediate measures should be taken to eliminate the shortcomings.

Then the President’s helicopter headed for Gurtly village where an estate of comfortable apartment houses on the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan.

On the way back to the Turkmen capital the President flew round and inspected the construction site in the historical city centre where the work to implement the large-scale architectural project – the official residence of the President of Turkmenistan was in full swing.

In this part of the city the building of the fashionable hotel would spring up within the next few years. Embodying the high status of Ashgabat as one of the capitals of the world this hotel would receive guests from all over the world and become the venue for large international forums.

Upon inspecting the pace of construction of the hotel the President’s helicopter headed for the construction sites including dozens of high-rise apartment houses along Bitarap Turkmenistan Shayoly. The Turkmen leader inspected from the air view the construction sites in the new administrative and cultural and social centre on Archabil Avenue.

Upon concluding the working trip round Ashgabat Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the relevant high-ranking officials to ensure strict control of the period of construction and compliance with the international quality standards and norms. The President focused on the quality of improvement and planting works in Ashgabat as well as its suburbs.
