OREANDA-NEWS. November 7, 2008. On the instructions of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov the members of the Turkmen government delegation held a series of the talks with the cabinet ministers and the heads of the leading sectors of economy and large companies of the Republic of Korea.

The perspectives of enhancing mutually advantageous co-operation to implement the Turkmen-Korean top level agreements and meet the priority objectives of social and economic development of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea at the new historical stage were the focus of the talks.

The dialogue spotlighted the approaches to fostering partnership in oil and gas, chemical and textile industries, transport and communication and agriculture. In particular, the sides considered the opportunities of collaboration of Korean partners in the certain economic projects in Turkmenistan.

The sides exchanged views on enhancement on humanitarian co-operation specifically in the sphere of education, science, culture, healthcare and tourism.
