The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, met in Moscow on October 31 with Ministers of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mamedyarov of the Azerbaijan Republic and Edward Nalbandian of the Republic of Armenia. Matters relating to the preparations for the upcoming meeting on November 2, 2008, between Presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Serzh Sargsian of Armenia with the participation of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict were discussed.
