OREANDA-NEWS. September 27, 2008. Dmitry Medvedev sent a telegram of condolences to President of Syria Bashar al-Assad in connection with the act of terrorism in Damascus that claimed numerous lives.

The message reads, in particular:

"We strongly condemn this cruel and inhuman crime. I confirm Russia’s solidarity and unwavering support for collective international efforts to combat terrorism in all its different forms".
