OREANDA-NEWS. On September 25, a conversation between Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov and UK Foreign Secretary David Miliband took place on the sidelines of the 63rd UN General Assembly session.

During the conversation the ministers exchanged views on a number of topical themes of the international agenda, including the Iranian nuclear program and Middle East settlement. The situation resulting from the recent Georgian aggression against South Ossetia was touched on.

The heads of the foreign affairs agencies of the two countries also discussed a number of issues in Russian-British relations.
