OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2008. The President signed documents issuing instructions to approve the Russian Foreign Ministry’s proposal to sign the treaties, approve the preliminary drafts drawn up together with the Abkhazian and South Ossetian representatives and authorise the Russian Foreign Ministry to make amendments not of principled nature to the draft treaties during the course of negotiations.

In accordance with the President’s instructions, the signature of the treaties with Abkhazia and South Ossetia will take place at the highest level.
