Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan Signed Intergovernmental Agreements
OREANDA-NEWS. September 12, 2008. Following the talks between Azerbaijani and Uzbek delegations chaired by Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Islam Karimov, the parties signed several intergovernmental agreements.
The documents signed included: agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan and State Committee for Nature Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan; agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Communications and Informatization Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan; agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on railway cooperation; agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on tax cooperation and information exchange; agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on mutual protection of secret information; agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on humanitarian cooperation; agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan for development of trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
