The heads of Russia and Kazakhstan discussed the situation around South Ossetia. Dmitry Medvedev stressed that Russia has fulfilled its obligations with regards to the settlement of the Georgian-South Ossetian conflict and now the main thing is to ensure Georgia’s demilitarization and a security perimeter around South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

The Russian head of state thanked the President of Kazakhstan for supporting Russia’s position during the Georgian-South Ossetian conflict.
