OREANDA-NEWS. July 23, 2008. Dmitry Medvedev signed the Federal Law 'On Ratification of the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Angola on Extradition'.

The agreement sets the legal procedures Russia and Angola will follow concerning the extradition of persons facing criminal prosecution, enforcement of sentences handed down by the courts, and the serving of prison terms by persons sentenced to terms of imprisonment.

The agreement strengthens the international-legal base for cooperation between Russia and Angola in fighting crime, including drugs trafficking and terrorism.
