OREANDA-NEWS. On June 20, a telephone conversation between Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov and head of the foreign affairs agency of the PRC Yang Jechi took place at the Chinese side’s initiative.

During the conversation, topical issues in Russian-Chinese relations were discussed with regard for the preparations for near-term political contacts, including an official visit by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation to China.

The mutual intention was expressed to take necessary steps for the buildup of bilateral cooperation and further strengthening of coordination in the international arena.
