Dmitry Medvedev Had Telephone Conversation with Mikhail Saakashvili
OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2008. Dmitry Medvedev had a telephone conversation with President of Georgie Mikhail Saakashvili.
Speaking of the situation in the Georgia-Abkhazia conflict zone, Mr Medvedev said that provocation directed against the Russian peacekeepers, who are carrying out their mission in accordance with international obligations, is unacceptable.
Mr Saakashvili promised to investigate the situation.
The two Presidents agreed on the need to maintain contacts in order to settle existing problems and develop bilateral relations.
