OREANDA-NEWS. June 4, 2008. Mr Mironov handed the President a report prepared by the Federation Council on the state of Russian legislation in 2007.

He also informed Mr Medvedev about the Council of Lawmakers’ upcoming meeting on preventing corruption. 

The Council of Lawmakers is a consultative body attached to the Federation Council. It was established on May 21, 2002, and is made up of representatives of both houses of parliament and the heads of the regional legislative assemblies.
