OREANDA-NEWS. June 4, 2008. During the conversation, they discussed the issue of Russian assistance in reconstructing the railways in Abkhazia and of using units of Russian railway troops for this purpose. Some necessary clarifications on this matter were made.

The heads of state agreed to continue discussions on this and other matters related to the maintenance of regional peace and stability, as well as specific issues of Russian-Georgian cooperation during their forthcoming bilateral meeting in St Petersburg at the St Petersburg Economic Forum.
