OREANDA-NEWS. May 23, 2008. Today, President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev is starting his official visit to China on the invitation of the leader of China Hu Jintao.

During his visit Medvedev is planning to discuss the prospects of cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, the fuel and energy complex and under investment projects. Special attention will be paid to the state support of banking institutions and instrument. The sides will also discuss their cooperation in civil aviation, migration, environment protection.

Medvedev is being accompanied by Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Industry and Trade Minister Viktor Khristenko, Energy Minister Sergey Shmatko, Director General of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Sergey Kiriyenko and a group of Russian businessmen.
