OREANDA-NEWS. May 7, 2008. The decree calls for the establishment of a network of federal universities that will offer a high quality of education and foster scientific research and technological development.

Along with the existing Siberian and Southern Federal Universities, the Government has been instructed to examine plans to establish federal universities in the Russian Far East and other regions.

Budget funds for these projects will be taken into account in drawing up the budgets for 2009 and subsequent years.
