OREANDA-NEWS. On April 22, a meeting between Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov and Amr Moussa, Secretary General of the League of Arab States, took place in Kuwait City on the fringes of the international conference on Iraq.

In the conversation, the situation in the region, primarily the state of the Palestinian-Israeli negotiation process, was thoroughly discussed. Both sides noted the importance of ensuring steady progress towards peace accords between the PNA and Israel and their fulfillment of their obligations, including those arising from the Roadmap. From this point of view Lavrov and Moussa exchanged views regarding the organization of a Moscow meeting on the Middle East. They agreed to continue an intensive dialogue and consultations on all these issues.
