OREANDA-NEWS. In Donbass, the first in this year exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) occurred. The procedure took place near​ the checkpoint Mayorsk in the environs of the city of Horlivka.

This was announced by the representative of Russia in the Trilateral Contact Group, Boris Gryzlov. “The exchange of Kiev with the DPR has been completed,” the politician said. He added that Ukraine transferred ten people to the DPR and took ten.

Preparations for the exchange of prisoners between Kiev and the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) are underway. This was reported by Olga Kobtseva, LPR representative of the working group on exchange of prisoners of war.
