Polish Prime Minister Does Not Rule out the Possibility of Introducing a State of Emergency
OREANDA-NEWS. The Polish government does not exclude the possibility of introducing a state of emergency in the country due to the coronavirus pandemic. This was reported by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. “If the situation escalates, new measures are needed, we do not rule out any possibilities,” the politician said, answering the question whether it is possible to introduce an emergency regime. He noted that Poland still has enough existing laws to take the necessary security measures to counter the spread of the disease.
Morawiecki also informed that the government decided to return the mandatory wearing masks in public places. “We have made a decision that from October 10 we will introduce the norms for the yellow zone, that is throughout the country. This means the obligation to cover mouth and nose in public places,” Polish Prime Minister explained.
According to him, specialists registered a record increase in infections, 4,280 cases, which is 40 % more than during the previous day.
