OREANDA-NEWS A petition demanding to introduce an emergency mode in Siberia due to forest fires collected over 346 thousand signatures in five days, it follows from data posted on the Internet.

According to the authors of the petition, the state of emergency must be declared because of the strong haze that clouded the Siberian regions as a result of forest fires in Yakutia, the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Irkutsk Region. In addition, the authors of the appeal call for enhanced measures to eliminate the fire.

However, some remote forest fires do not extinguish if they do not threaten human settlements and objects of the economy, because the cost of extinguishing at times, sometimes ten times more than the possible damage from fire.
