OREANDA-NEWS. Russia is taking certain actions to move its troops on the territory of the country, and no one can dispute this sovereign right. This was stated on Friday, December 24, by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov during a conversation with reporters.

Thus, he responded to statements regarding the alleged build-up of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine. In particular, Bloomberg experts said that they studied satellite images and saw that the Russian Federation allegedly moved tanks, artillery weapons, and air defense systems to the border with Ukraine since November.

“I want to remind you once again: whatever Russia does with its troops, it does it on its own territory. And here we can hardly allow and agree that someone would dispute our sovereign right, ”said Peskov.

At the same time, the Kremlin spokesman drew attention to "the very unfriendly actions of opponents in NATO: the United States and various European countries." They, as Peskov pointed out, conduct very unambiguous maneuvers, exercises in the immediate vicinity of the borders of the Russian Federation, and carry out reconnaissance flights.

“All this causes our deep concern and forces us to take certain measures to guarantee our own security,” concluded the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.

The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a press conference, commented on publications in the Western media about the alleged plans to "invade" Ukraine. According to him, such statements give the impression that the Ukrainian side is "preparing a third operation" in Donbass. As the president pointed out, "there is a feeling that we are being warned."
