OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he had no information about the alleged meeting between the US president's special envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"I have nothing to say to you on this topic, I have no information on this topic for you," Peskov told reporters.

Mike Walz, US President Donald Trump's national security adviser, said earlier that Steve Witkoff, the US president's special envoy for the Middle East, visited Russia to negotiate the return of American Mark Vogel, who was convicted of drug smuggling and possession in Russia. Russian lawyer Dmitry Ovsyannikov later confirmed to RIA Novosti the information about Vogel's transfer to the United States. And Trump, commenting on Vogel's return, said that Russia had treated the United States "very well."
