OREANDA-NEWS Events like the inauguration of the President of Russia are viewed by enemies as a reason for new provocations. This was announced by the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov, whose words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
He explained that at the moment, efforts to ensure security are at their maximum in all areas. At the same time, attempts to interfere in Russia's internal affairs do not weaken.
"Although, of course, such significant — especially symbolic — events as the inauguration of the president are always considered by our enemies as another reason for new attempts to destabilize the situation in Russia," Peskov said.
The Kremlin spokesman added that Russia has learned to fight and resist such attempts.
Earlier, the chairman of the commission to investigate foreign interference in Russia's internal affairs, Vasily Piskarev, said that the West may be planning new provocations for the inauguration of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who won the election. According to him, the members of the commission are already observing similar activity in Western countries.
