OREANDA-NEWS Russia is interested in mutually beneficial cooperation with the UAE and other countries, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"There is absolutely mutual interest in continuing trade and economic cooperation with the United Arab Emirates, with other states. Interaction continues, there can be no voids here," he said on the air of Channel One.

Earlier, on June 15, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) took part in the opening of the UAE pavilion, and also met with the ruler of the Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah Sheikh Saud Al-Qasimi and the Minister of Economy of the UAE Abdullah bin Tuq Al-Marri. Manturov drew attention to the special nature of relations between the two countries, strong ties of friendship and a rich history of cooperation.

The UAE delegation became one of the most representative at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum this year.
