OREANDA-NEWS A petition demanding the resignation of deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Dariga Nazarbayeva appeared on the Internet, it was published by several Kazakh media. The signatories demand that Nazarbayev's daughter immediately leave the post of deputy. The petition was posted on the "Egov.press" website.

The petition appeared a few hours ago, but it has already been signed by more than 400 people. The author of the proposals was a certain Yerlan Armanovich.

Earlier, deputy of the Kazakh parliament from the Nur Otan party Aidos Sarym called for Nazarbayev's resignation. According to Sarym, the name of Nazarbayeva is associated with the authoritarian system that has developed in Kazakhstan, which has led to distrust in society. It is necessary to react to the situation, the deputy is sure. "All over the world, this is politically achieved through resignation, this is a normal world practice," the politician explained.

In early January, rallies were held in Kazakhstan, which turned into mass riots. As a result of clashes between protesters and security forces, more than 200 people were killed and thousands were injured. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was able to restore order in the republic by January 7, asking for help from the CSTO.

After the January events, Tokayev consistently removed friends and relatives of the first president of the republic, Nursultan Nazarbayev, from public positions.
