OREANDA-NEWS  From May 1, 2023, the amendments introduced by Article 4 of Federal Law No. 76-FZ of 18.03.2023 "On Amendments to the Federal Law "On Postal Communications" and Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation" to Article 21 of Federal Law No. 400-FZ of 28.12.2013 "On Insurance Pensions" will come into force, providing for two ways delivery of pensions and other social benefits: through a credit institution by crediting pension amounts to the pensioner's account in this credit institution or through postal communication organizations by handing over pension amounts at home or at the cash desk of a postal communication organization.

The delivery of pensions and other social benefits in cash will now be carried out exclusively by the organizations of the federal postal service of JSC "Russian Post".

If the pension and other social benefits were delivered to the house, nothing will change - the postman will also bring them to the house. If pensions and other social benefits were received at the cash desks of other organizations, now they can be received at the cash desks of post offices. If a proxy receives payments for a pensioner, and the power of attorney specifies the name of a specific other delivery organization, such a power of attorney must be reissued.

Also, citizens still have the opportunity to receive pensions and other social benefits in a non-cash way through a bank.
