OREANDA-NEWS Starting from October 7th, the PayPal payment system will introduce a fee for extending the service for accounts that have been inactive for 12 months, as stated on the official website.

According to the notification of amendments to their terms of service in Russia, users with a PayPal account will be charged a service renewal fee if their account has a positive balance in any currency and has not been used in the last year. This fee applies to both personal and business accounts.

The fee is charged once per year and amounts to 3,500 rubles. It will be applied to all accounts that meet the above criteria.
It is noted that the commission may be debited in another currency in the same amount or the balance of the account (if the balance in rubles at the time of debited was less than 3,500 rubles).

It is stated that an inactive account means that the owner has not accessed their PayPal account or used it to withdraw funds for the last 12 months. "If you wish to reject these changes, you must close your PayPal account prior to the effective date specified in the User Agreement," the materials state.
